My mother-in-law had advanced vascular dementia when we placed her at Avalon, so we didn't really get to go into the facility other than to move her in and when she passed.\n\nAt the time, [name removed] was who we coordinated with. He was a great resource in helping us understand vascular dementia and what to expect. He also helped us to choose which Avalon facility would be the best fit for my mother-in-law with the types of behavior she was having. This facility is best for advanced dementia not when they are high functioning and just need a little help.
