They really try to be as pleasant as possible and make the residents feel comfortable and cared for. The staff go out of their way to learn everyone's name and help them out. I know quite a few people who have had their parents here and they rave bout it. It is a very well run facility and they have a lot to offer. My loved one has a studio apartment and it was a kitchenette and large walk in closet and spacious bathroom, my understanding is it used to be a Marriott. We have had a good experience and I would recommend them to others looking.

I really liked The Linden at Dedham facility. My friend was looking for very large room sizes so that was the only downfall for her here. The staff were great and were wonderful with their follow up after the tour.

Great assisted living. Less so for memory care.
My loved one was there for a short period of time. She started out in assisted living but had to move to memory care due to rapid progression of her dementia. Unfortunately they were never able to provide her with an appointment with their on-site neuro nurse while she was there. And the memory care unit seemed very understaffed. Being around the other memory care residents was like walking among zombies. Their level of dementia seemed much more sever than my loved one.
So there wasn't really the right group of residents for her on her same functioning level. I very much liked the people that we worked with at The Linden. I loved the sales person. The head nurse was great. The program director was great. Really all of the head people were great. They were all very personable and seemed to know my loved one. I think they were just understaffed, and it wasn't the best environment in memory care. If she had been able to stay in assisted living, that would have been ideal. It was a nice place - her room was very nice, they had good programs going on. Assisted living I would rate at 4/5. Memory care was an entirely different experience. That I would rate a 2/5.

The Linden at Dedham is an exceptional facility filled with exceptional help! From the Director to the Support folks - we had a great experience. They all cared deeply for my dad and for us as his family. Best place I found!

Very Happy
My Aunt has been a resident in the memory care unit at The Linden At Dedham since March. Everyone I have dealt with has been pleasant and caring. When she arrived there, she was mostly using her wheelchair to get around. Five months later and she is using her walker again! Every time I visit my Aunt, she is participating in an activity and seems very content. I’m so happy that we found The Linden at Dedham!

Exceptional caring facility and staff :)
The Linden at Dedham has and continues to exceed all of my super high standards and expectations from the minute my family and I met with the staff and throughout the entire process. I never imagined that I would ever be in this situation feeling helpless and overwhelmed trying to make all the right decisions and entrusting strangers to care for my beloved father. The staff at Linden has years of experience, knowledge and genuine compassion for both the resident and their family members and the desire for all of us to succeed with all the same goals in mind. Do yourself a favor and save yourself time, stress, making phone calls, googling other facilities, sending emails, getting pricing information, touring five or more facilities trying to find the best of the best and the perfect fit for your loved one..... you will find it all at the Linden @ Dedham

They have great activities at the community, but our loved ones just does not participate in them. We would recommend this community to others, our only problem would be the communication. Sometimes we have issues going back and worth which could absolutely be improved.

Friendly staff and residents
We chose The Linden at Dedham because it was a smaller community and everyone we had contact with was very friendly. It had good ratings and it was also affordable. When we toured, my mom thought it seemed welcoming place. The room sizes here are various, she is in a very spacious one bedroom. The food depends on the chef, when we first went here it was very good, she is not thrilled with the food right now. She thinks it needs to be cooked more. But they do have good variety on their menu. The best part about the community so far has been the caring-ness of the staff and of the residents for each other. I would recommend the facility.

I chose this community because it was a smaller place and it is well run. My sisters room is good sized. We bought all new furniture and it worked out great. The food is fantastic, at the time before COVID, they had a chef cooking all the meals. As a visitor, they only charge $10 for the food. My favorite part has been the communication of the staff, if there is any problem with my sister, they always call immediately. I have recommended The Linden at Dedham more than once.

A really good choice!
Before COVID the activities were outstanding, they went to apple pickings, they had daily dining's in the dining hall. Constant entertainment was coming in to perform for the residents. They got to go out on outings all the time. The residents could go shipping and go to ice cream stores going shopping and getting ice cream. They even took the residents to go whale watching!
The food is excellent, its healthy very well prepared. The rooms at this community are spacious, very comfortable, and very attractive. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms have huge big windows. The setting is very peaceful and pretty. The care service at this community are amazing, they know my sister very well. They monitor her very closes and if anything changed they immediately contact us. The communication is excellent!

Very clean the last time I was there. They keep me updated on my family member every week in the form of a newsletter, which brings you up to date on what they are doing. Under the current Covid-19 conditions, they have been doing a great job and are testing residents regularly. They have good activities available every day for the residents.

Freedom from worry
I have been very moved about how they treat residents and families. I have had some bad experiences with other places and now that my husband is at The Linden I can go to bed and close my eyes and know that he is in even better hands then mine. The staff is so gentle, sweet and polite. They are always smiling and treat the families like friends. They called on Easter to see if I wanted to come and see him and I said I was not sure he would understand that I was outside and I could not come in and he could see me. They said no problem we can bring him out for you to talk to him. I was able to bring my dog and my sister and they brought him out and we were able to talk to him over the fence from a safe distance and it was really great. I also want to thank A Place for Mom for helping me to find this great place.

Look elsewhere
I found this place to be unstable - staff we really liked would suddenly be gone - no goodbye. The staff that is there seem to feel their jobs are unstable as well. You never know when someone might be gone. Memory care Residents especially Need to know that they can count on the staff day to day! That’s a cruel thing to do residents who attach to someone. And in this environment vulnerable needy residents attach quickly so they can feel safe . You won’t find that here. Will be looking for a better stable environment for my loved one. You should too.

Don’t come here
The beauty of the environment can’t conceal the ugliness of some of the folks that run this place. They can’t seem to keep the staff on that my mom was attached to. Every time I visited another favorite staff left ( or was asked to. ) we need continuity of care. I suggest you look elsewhere for memory care. Do not recommend them at all.

Not cosmetically appealing for us
Brookdale Dedham had a lot of the amenities we were looking for but the community was not as well kept as other communities we had toured. It was shabby and needed some updating and repairs. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We chose another community for our current needs.
