The food is excellent and they offer many alternate choices. My mom loves their soups that are always served with lunch and dinner. She frequently brings a wrapped dessert back to her room to save for my daily visit (must still think I'm a little kid). The Activity Directors have gone out of their way to find out what interests Mom, especially when she told them she was bored by Bingo. The game of Rummikub is more appealing to her. Pacific Gardens had a BBQ and invited the residents' families, I was impressed by its organization. I wondered where we would all sit? No worries- each resident had a reserved table and Mom and I invited a single to join us and share gossip about the place. The food was superb. I love how they decorate for holidays and I already have an idea for Mom's costume for Halloween. The entire staff, administrative and medical, are outstanding and very caring! When my dad presses the button on the pendent he wears, his caregiver/nurse comes to see what he needs. It gives me a lot of comfort and peace of mind to know he is getting this kind of “around the clock” care! \n\nThe meals offered to residents are OUTSTANDING and unbelievably DELICIOUS!! There is a lot of variety and they are nutritious. If my dad doesn’t want or like what is being served, there is an alternate menu for him to choose something else. \n\nMy dad is a WWII Veteran who earned a Purple Heart when his plane was shot down. There is a Veterans Wall where veteran residents can have their picture hung on the wall as a tribute to them and to all veterans.\n\nIf you are looking for a GREAT place to move a loved one to, you won’t regret checking it out. Our spacious sunroom overlooks the entrance, just above the awning, and the exterior facing windows allow natural light to fill every room with its welcoming warmth. When you’re here, you’ll feel right at home.</p> <h3>Community Amenities and Services</h3> <p>Helping residents maintain their health and wellness through our thoughtful collection of activities and amenities is our top priority. Professional staff is available around the clock to offer the assistance necessary to bring residents the care and comfort they need. Our care services programs are designed to address residents' unique needs. Assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., personal care, dressing, incontinence care, and more), medication management, and escorts to and from meals or activities are just a few of the care services our trained, compassionate staff is able to provide.</p> <p>We know there is no one size fits all approach to our activities, and our activity coordinators have developed five programs to accommodate the needs and interests of our residents. These programs are specifically designed to meet the varying mental and physical abilities of residents, but each are designed to fulfill wellness of the mind and body. Residents can catch a classic movie in the theater, soak up some rays in the sunroom, or catch up with friends in the great room. Our seated exercise program makes it easy for residents to keep up on their fitness in our on-site gym. We also regularly host balance classes and share stretching routines, all of which is overseen by Affirma Rehabilitation.</p> <h3>Living Arrangements</h3> <p>We offer semi-private, one bedroom and studio floor plans. All units include a spacious, ensuite bathroom with a large step-in shower and plenty of handrails for safety. Between the warm shades of beige, a healthy dose of sunshine, and views of the surrounding trees through the windows, you’ll feel right at home in Pacific Gardens.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>Pacific Gardens is a <em>residential care facility for the elderly (RCFE)</em>, which in the state of California is a housing arrangement for persons 60 years or older where supervision and personal care is provided based on the needs of the residents. These facilities are also known as <em>assisted living facilities</em> and <em>board and care facilities</em>.
